Of a different Nature...

The work is photographic in nature, whereby context is crucial. One photograph not only stands by itself, when seen in a series it gains signification. Then this one series is juxtaposed to one or more other series, each series providing a context to the other series and their meaning either changes or gains significance once more. This reflects how I see the world; patterns and different worlds (such as there are cultures, opinions, people etc.) exist next to each other, influencing and changing each other or just co-existing.

The photographs are rather straightforward in nature, as not to influence the viewer or romanticize the meaning of the image. Rather, I see them as semi-scientific documents of different phenomena.
Each project consists of at least two series, but five or more are most common. The series will have nine to eighteen images in them. Their themes revolve around the dynamics of nature and artifice, order and disorder in its widest sense as it touches upon day-to-day existence of people, but of which they are not necessarily aware.
