Over a period of two years I travelled to various labotories whose main focus of research is genomic or genetic in nature. Scientists at The Broad Institute, Harvard, Cold Spring Harbor, among others, were very generous hosts and interpreters, who also shared their computations. This project is my visual quest to get a better understanding of what 'this DNA' is all about. For me genomic research correlates to the epic quest of what Life, with a capital L, is about. In 2007 I have added work done at the AMC Hospital in Amsterdam. If finances permit me to do so I will continue to add work, since the quest of the scientists how DNA and environment shape our lifes is never ending. The series depict various aspects of life from a genetic point of view. The combination of the series and the installation relate to aspects of genomic research.
